The Cricket St Thomas Hotel lived up to every ones expectations for its grandeur.
Its situation in a beautiful valley in the Somerset country side was superb with the trees turning to the autumn gold’s & reds.
The Bridge Room was in the older part of the complex, in the Hamilton Room, which was a fine setting for bridge, with its walls festooned with old oil paintings befitting a beautiful Manor House.
The Bowls was played at an indoor club 10 minutes drive away as the weather was a bit cool. It was situated in a small village called Donyaat, it is a six rink indoor complex plus a outside rink, we were made very welcome by the owner and club members, it had a good bar and lunch time menu which some of our guest took advantage of.
A very good Bridge and Bowls break was enjoyed by all, and Dave Maureen Eddie & Kathy, say thank you all for being such a great group.
